Interior Inspiration - Lavish Luxury
Creating a luxury retreat in your own home may seem like it would be an overwhelming, and expensive endeavor. What comes to mind with the term 'luxury' is opulent furniture and decór, however it doesn't have to be that way. By making a couple small changes to your space, you can make your home feel more luxurious, without the burden of work or costing an arm and a leg!

Our Homeware Buyer Ciara picked out some of her favourite pieces arriving from our Home Department to show you how to achieve a luxury look in your own home.

Layer the Luxe

A key step to creating a luxury space is to eliminate clutter, but this can leave your space feeling clinical and bare. Overcome this using a layering technique, from adding rugs to polished hardwood floors, to adding cushions and throws to your bedding. These teal cushions from Malini are the perfect addition to layer on top of the Linen House Duvet Set, and linen is the perfect luxury bedding to begin the luxe look.

Simple Accessories

It's easy to overdo it with accessories, so be mindful and purposeful with the space you have. Approach with a minmalist mindset, less is truly more when it comes to creating a more luxurious look. Once you have pared back, add deliberate key accessories to strike the balance between clutter and class. We've chosen statement artwork from Scatterbox, paired with a beautiful gold frame and candle holder from Mindy Browne to create the perfect look. Be mindful of the lighting in your room - try to avoid harsh fluorescent lights, and instead opt for softer light as it gives off a more luxurious ambiance - you are sure to see and feel the difference immediately.

Elegant Additions

Dreary window decor can destroy the luxury feeling in your home, leaving it sad and dark. Opt for a metal rod with a stylish, lighter shade curtain and see your room transform - we love this soft grey pair from Aura that is sure to make your room feel high end. Finish the space with a plush rug to add warmth and depth to the space, in a complimentary colour.
