Interior Inspiration - How To Dress Your Drinks Trolley

Interior Inspiration - How To Dress Your Drinks Trolley

Over the past few months, we've spent a lot of time in our own houses, and that has brought about some new trends, one of those trends being the drinks trolley.

The drinks trolley, or bar cart, is the perfect little home for all of your at-home bar essentials and is a really trendy way of storing, and indeed displaying these pieces in your home. When dressed correctly, this functional storage unit can become a real talking point in your home - it's all about how you style it!

We loved the simplicity of this black bar cart we found on Pinterest - so how can you recreate this look at the home?

Bar Cart Of Dreams

To begin, you obviously need a bar cart! We love this style from WJ Sampson.

The handles on either side give the trolley a very symmetrical look, and the mirrored shelving means it's not too dark as the mirrors can bounce light around the room!

Statement Glassware

The next thing you will need is glasses!

The great thing about a bar cart is that you can display all the gorgeous glasses you've collected over the years in all shapes and sizes, depending on your drink taste.

If your glassware needs a refresh, we have a gorgeous collection called Erne from Galway Crystal that comes in multiple colours - amber, blush and amethyst - and in a number of styles from gin glasses, to champagne, hi-ball, wine and cocktail glasses and even a matching carafe! This gorgeous colourful collection is sure to be a talking point.

Statement Pieces

Every piece of furniture needs a centrepiece, and your drinks trolley is no exception. For this centre piece, we've selected a marbled effect mirrored tray from WJ Sampson, and on top of it we've chosen this gorgeous Waterford Crystal seahorse decanter.

One of Waterford Crystal's most iconic shapes, the seahorse is not only the symbol of Waterford crystal, but the city of Waterford itself and is the perfect statement piece for your bar cart.

The Essentials

For your drinks trolley to function as intended, you'll need some utensils! We've selected a citrus juicer, a long latte spoon (which is an ideal stirrer), a can and bottle opener, a citrus zester and a strainer. All of these things will be very handy for making cocktails and adding garnishes to your drinks so they will be right at home on any bar cart!

Finishing Touches

To finish off y0ur bar cart, we loved these geometric coasters and placemats from Denby, which will be perfect to hand out with drinks and to protect the mirrored finish on your drinks trolley. We've also selected a Galway Crystal fruit bowl for all the fresh fruit you can add as a garnish to drinks, and a Beleek living tapas set, so you can enjoy and serve nibbles too!

So there you have it - the best-dressed bar cart anyone could ask for! Is there anything else you would add to yours?
