The prestigious Wedding Journal Reader Award Ceremony took place on Sunday 24th June in the Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin – a fabulous setting for a fabulous award event! Renowned for celebrating the best in the business, the Wedding Journal Awards act as an industry guide for budding brides and grooms when deciding which suppliers and businesses they should place their trust in to make their big day the one to remember.
The awards, which began in 2012, give readers the opportunity to nominate and vote for their favourites – so it comes as no surprise that McElhinneys have been in the running for various awards across a number of years.
Last night in Ballsbridge, the McElhinneys Team were in attendance as double finalists! Nominated by the public as both best Groomswear Supplier and Mother of the Bride Retailer of the Year, we had our fingers crossed as the competition this year was incredibly strong in all of the categories!
We didn’t manage to come away with a double win, but we were absolutely thrilled to have been awarded the Mother of the Bride Retailer of the Year – beating off the other finalists Debenhams, Arnotts, Perfect Night & Sinead’s Boutique.
We are delighted to add this 2018 title to our repertoire having won the 2017, 2016 & 2015 Mother of the Bride/Designer Retailer of the Year also!
