5 Jewellery Trends for AW20

Before you know it, we'll be switching out our swimsuits and sandals for sweaters and boots. But, don't forget that all of those cold-weather essentials look so much better with a little bling. So it's time to start thinking about the Autumn/Winter 2020 jewellery trends that you can expect to find right here in McElhinneys this Season.

1. Layer Upon Layer

We've seen chains around for a little while now, and they're not going anywhere. Layer up your favourite danity pieces, or go all out with bold, chunky chains that will be the centrepiece of your outfit - heavy duty chains is another trend that is big for the Season ahead. There are no rules this Season when it comes to style, so wear it your way.

2.Vintage Style

All things Vintage are back in style this Season in Jewellery, and we can see this in Fashion also with the return of the Victorian and Preppy style. A great way to introduce vintage style jewellery in to your rotation is look look for linked jewellery with options in chains, earrings, bracelets and more. Plus look out for statement rings that have that old school vibe. Also one to keep an eye on is Pearls - they will really give that vintage look and are very on trend for AW20.

3. Multi Earrings / Ear Cuffs

When it comes to dressing your ear now, the more the better! Stack up your earrings with the help of multi-pack earrings, and go higher up your ear with some stylish ear cuffs. If you love this style then be sure to check out earrings with an attached ear cuff that have a chain detail linking them to really nail this look.

4. Make it Personal

There is nothing quite like finding your name or inital on something right? Well this Season it's time to find your name or initial on a piece of jewellery. There are lots of brand embracing this trend so you'll have lots of choice! If you can't find your initial, or if you have an unusual name, why not get a special piece engraved with a name or message of your choice with our personalisation service in store?

5. Return of the Solids

People are really looking for those pieces that will last and will stand the test of time and that is why solid jewellery is making a comeback. This Season, why not invest in some timeless sterling silver or 9-carat gold pieces from our collections and have something that you will treasure.
